About Alan

Alan writes high-octane vigilante thrillers, FBI crime mystery thrillers, psychological thrillers, and cozy mysteries (under a pen name). His stories keep readers on the edge of their seats, blending relentless action, gripping suspense, and unforgettable characters.

In addition to writing thrillers, Alan is the host of Meet the Thriller Author, a popular podcast where he interviews some of the biggest names in mystery and thriller fiction. Over the years, he has had the honor of speaking with more than 200 bestselling authors, including Dean Koontz, Lee Child, Tess Gerritsen, Walter Mosley, and many more.

Born in Costa Rica, Alan spent his early years there and in Caracas, Venezuela. Speaking both Spanish and English, he had a bilingual upbringing thanks to his American father and Costa Rican mother. He attended an English-speaking school in Costa Rica before moving to the United States for college, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. He later married his college sweetheart, and together they have lived in Minnesota and California.

Alan and his wife currently lives in San Francisco, California, with their ferocious Chihuahua.
